When people work the 9 to 5 rather than the typical 14-16 hour workdays. An hour lunch break may be taken on these days, but is still frowned upon. Some people may catch a "holiday" and become quite unresponsive. Stay away from these people.
What are you doing on your holiday?
I think I'll take off early at 5 today. What about you?
I think I may go on a vacation for the week.
What's a 'va cation'?

Something thats impossible to enjoy at my house because every holiday ( Especially independance day) My father drinks heavily, throws his old vietnam uniform on, grabs his m-14, and fires at my neighbor who just happens to be vietnamese while he shouts " we won the war you brown cocksuckers! Burn in hell you motherfuckers!" Not the best time of the year.
my neighbor packs severe heat and i fear hes going to turn it on us someday soon.

A politically correct and inclusive term for Thanksgiving and Christmas encouraged by the liberals.
It'd be considered a borderline hate crime to have a "Christmas sale", nowadays the PC term is "Holiday sale"!

trucker's tan

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.
