The most efficient use of expressing laughter in chat messages. Originally used only by Age of Empires II players, but it is now widely accepted (in their minds).

1. The unfortunate event that occurs when some keyboard-illiterate user attempts to overload a statement with exclamation marks, but proceeds to take their finger off the "Shift" key too early, changing the expected "!!!!!!" into "!!!11." Usually only seen from newbies who forget to check what they type before pressing the ever-hazardous "Enter" key.

2. The same event as mentioned above, except it is used on purpose to mock those who forget to watch what they're typing. Some other variations used to mock those in example one are "!!!!111shift1" and "!!!shift111one"
