A Female (Wook)

A wook is a hippie without any ambition, motivation, or drive other than drugs and image. They're generally in their twenties, college students (or dropouts) at small-town liberal colleges (such as Appalachian State University) and dependent on an income other than their own.

Wooks tend to travel in packs, they smell strongly of patchouli and are in constant search for free drugs. One of the defining characteristics is an excessive amount of unkempt hair, usually in dreadlocks.

It is important to make the distinction between a hippie and a wook. Hippies can generally be viewed as positive, optimistic members of society with an idealistic goal for the betterment of society. Wooks are everything that you've been warned about in regard to hippies wrapped into a neat little package.

I can't wait to turn that wookette into my tent slut.

A woman who appears to be a normal heterosexual but has lesbianic tendencies when drunk. May also be rude and disrespecting to others whether sober or drunk.(May be used as a noun or adjectivally.)

Coined by Dr. Cliff Redish of U.I. in 2001, the use of this term has spread in recent years as Greek culture in the Eastern United States has taken its greatest hold since the seventies.

That ol' wonkette totally forgot what she did last night, but all the boys got a quick look and a good laugh.

Bob, she went all wonkette on me on the date last night. Laura cussed me out and then just left.

East coast slang for lesbian in general. Not limited to man-haters, doms, or subbies. Does not refer to a bisexual woman, however.

Wonkette 

Straight-up old-fashioned lesbian. Not the fake high school type of straight girl that does other girls for attention or out of insecurity. We are talking about the real thing here, lesbian for life, beautiful or butch.

Dianne and Jenny went to a bar. They didn't make a scene...they knew everyone knew they were wonkettes anyway.

A Washington, DC-based liberal weblog or blog that focuses on politics, current events, and DC-area issues. The blog is characterized by humor, cynicism, and an overriding sarcastic tone that sets it apart from other blogs.

Wonkette bills itself as "the DC gossip" who focuses on "politics for people with dirty minds." It is edited by Alex Pareene.

Topics often include: George W. Bush, the Bush twins, Dick Cheney, Katherine "Kitty" Harris, Iraq, conservatives, Republicans, and of course, Late Night Shots.
