Sankofa viewing 

Sankofa viewing — Sankofa is an African word from the Akan tribe in Ghana. The literal translation of the word and it associated symbol is “it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind.”

In contemporary parlance a Sankofa viewing is going back and watching to prior episodes of a series that you are bingeing to both refresh your memory and to see if the series is well written.

By tracing the backstories of the major characters you will easily be able to tell if the story arcs are well planned; or, if a group of writers are just throwing some third act plot twist shite against a wall to see if it will stick!!!!!

For practicing this art I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE WALKING DEAD OR ANY OF ITS CLONES because you will be terribly disappointed by the writing and a group of writers were throwing a lot of third act plot twist shite against the wall to see if it would stick!!!!!!!

The Sopranos, on the other hand, will not disappoint and rewards rewatching, They were telling you where it was going from episode one.

Amazingly, when you get good at this with binge watching visual mediums, it may be useful to read a book or two. Most good books reward a Sankofa Reading. After all, isn’t that why writing was invented?

But, ya gotta start somewhere.

A new season of What We Do in the Shadows is about to start; let’s do a Sankofa viewing of the series and the movie so that we can catch all of the details and the subtleties.

1. A driver who brags about never having had an accident, but has caused many behind him by never thinking situationally about his or her driving.
2. Someone who never pulls completely up to the intersection or the car in front, but rather lags a car length or more behind and stops short or creeps, forcing other drivers to miss lights, block intersections or clog turn lanes because they can't get into position.
3. A jerk who speeds up if you try to pass in the left or right lane but is content to ride beside or just in front of you, usually swerving and failing to maintain speed or lane position because they are preoccupied with their cell phone, makeup or other personal device.

A daytime television show with a panel mixed of celebrity women and journalists who discuss mostly politics and news. Airs on ABC in USA and in Canada on affiliated networks to ABC. They tend to get really obnoxious and gross to listen to. They spew a large portion of opinion and empty comments without knowledge. If you really want to learn about politics read books and essays from political philosophers , theorists, or sociologists. Socialism-Communism read books from Karl Marx (marxism), Engels, Vladimir Lenin (Leninism), or Mao Zedong. Democracy "Enlightenment" read books from Smith, Locke, De Tocqueville, Hobbes or Rousseau. Anarchism read books from Noam Chomsky,Benjamin Tucker, Mikhail Bakhunin, William Godwin, Proudhon, Kropotkin, Ellul, or Emma Goldman. SO MANY MORE famous thinkers out there I haven't listed for all these political theories and thoughts on politics . Do not waste another minute of your life on this brainless show of idiotic women screaming nonsense.
