In a secondary school, there are sometimes these things called sets. these are when the year groups are divided into classes based on there score on their entrance exam (and so, their intelligence).
The top set is supposed to be the most intelligent people in the year.

Now I've cleared that up, top set is the people whose mums bribed the teachers.

Topset this that your high up in a Academic social environment IE school , College , University , or people can address you in any other further education . Being in the topset is a good thing . But most people will uses this in a sarcastic format such as if you said something stupid or ironic , idiotic . People will say topset instead of telling them to shut up all that stupid this is less rude to say when someone says something stupid but it still can be considered being rude .
