The best weapon in the video game series, Destiny. It's so good, it causes popular twitch streamers to lose their mind and act like childish imbeciles when they get killed by it.

I just got killed by a guardian using Telesto. I shall take to twitter and end this madness.

A snarky and disparaging term used to describe the commonplace distracted attendance of telemedicine appointments by tuned-out and exhausted medical professionals during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

I logged onto the “telemed” appointment and was hit immediately by the vibe that my doctor was telestroking his way through the numbing electronic workday he was trying hard to embrace with an abnormally forced charm and weirdly vacant grin.

Telesto

A very popular fusion rifles from the game Destiny / Destiny 2. An iconic weapon that fires off tiny purple fireworks that explode after a short delay. Sort of like explosive diarrhea when you think its finally stopped. Players often like to rhyme the guns name with other words.

Person 1: Hey dude, what's your favorite fusion rifle?
Person 2: Telesto, its the besto.

telestolgia

tele- like television, it refers to what is far away.

stolgia - taken from nostalgia, indicating the yearning for something missed.

Derived from the lack of the word in English for its German equivalent, "Fernweh", or "Fern", distant, also used in the German word for "Fernseher" (television or distance-viewer), and "Weh" which means pain in English.

So together it's "telestolgia" which signifies a yearning for that which is far away or distant from you. It could be a mere feeling of missing something far away which is not your home and that you love just as much as your home, or rather a yearning and feeling of missing things that are far from you, like the desire to get away and to travel.

from the German word "Fernweh", one would say, "Ich habe Fernweh!" So, in English one would say,

As I've been back in the States for a total of eight months now, I'm feeling strong feelings of telestolgia and desire to leave again for awhle.

or

I'm suffering from telestolgia, because I miss my friends overseas badly.
