The distorted narrative of past events as presented by TV documentaries, where sensationalism often trumps accuracy, leaving viewers with a skewed version of historical facts.

While binge-watching a historical series, I couldn't help but wonder if I was absorbing genuine history or merely succumbing to the allure of telehistory.
