chrome-plated, 360 degree asshole

Gold-Plated Rule

Have done to you what you would have done to others.

This rule explains how you should only support what you would want to be done to you in the same situation. For example: only support the limiting of speech if you want your speech to be limited.
The Gold-Plated Rule would posit that those who get others banned from social media will be banned from social media.

Gold Plated Tin Foil Hat

The hat one wears when they've gone so far into talking about random nonsense that they freak out if you call them out on it.

Different from the common tinfoil hat in regards to the wearer's randomness.
1 - "Goddamnit, Brendan is going off randomly about some nonsense again... He's got a gold plated tin foil hat on and is babbling about how insane it is that gold particles are just floating freely around us."

2 - "Did you see Brendan's text in the group chat, he is definitely wearing a gold plated tin foil hat today; he legit said, 'you guys ever rip and have to evacuate the area because the methane concentration is over normal bodily levels'. On top of that, he even freaked out after I asked him if he was wearing a gold plated tin foil hat."

3 - "Brendan freaked earlier after I told him to chill because he was talking at 100+ MPH about random nonsense. I'm also pretty sure I heard him say something about a gold plated tin foil hat he lost."

gold-plated

Common use: Covered with a thin layer of gold, a precious metal often used in jewelry.

Slang: Genuine and true, but not in a good way. The mock formality alludes to a professional judgment.

2. My car just broke down. I swear that thing is a gold-plated piece of shit.

3. My boss is ok, but his boss is a gold-plated asshole.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
