Popstep

A terrible attempt to garner more attention and fame by mixing already terrible pop songs with extremely shitty and generic dubstep. Usually used by jaded ass popstars who need to give up already such as Pitbull and Nicki Minaj because they know dubstep is the new thing.

"Did you hear the new Madonna album?"

"Ugh yea it was nothing but popstep, she needs to give up already instead of trying to get in the edm scene"

Opposite of a hipster. As in a person that loves everything that's popular and prides herself/himself in that devotion to popular culture.

Pogstep 

A subgenre of EDM popular in sub-saharan Africa. Relies on an ungodly amount of energy being exerted upon the listener, which vibrates their entire body so hard that it forces one's mouth to open into a pog.

Pogstep has received fierce backlash in certain parts of the world, such as Greece and Israel, where it is criticized as being manipulative and even hypnotising to listeners and performers alike. Critics of pogstep say that the excessive vibrations put the human body into a trance, and creating the illusion of enjoyment. Similarly, when pogstep is being played in a nightclub, it is said that clubbers cannot recognise discomfort amongst their fellows, because everyone is pogging. This could lead to someone dying and being totally neglected of medical attention.

Popster 

Sadly these days almost everybody is a popster. Popsters being those people who for some incomprehensible reason like to dress in glittery glamour clothes and listen to pop music designed for the sole purpose of making as much money out of tasteless listeners as possible by over advertising and portraying ideals which can turn people into rather selfish wannabe stars.

Person 1: "Oh my God! did you know Taylor swifts new album is coming out in 4 days, 4 hours, and 44 minutes?!"

Person 2: "Did you just ask me why I find popsters annoying?"
