All facets of life are contextual, however, with classic modes of being, trends and stories that can be used as sign posts or guidance (See pragmatism, and stoicism).

James never lost his temper when someone shared a differing opinion from his own. After all he was a philosophical moderate and relished diverse thoughts.

Philosophizing primarily focuses on the human condition - the intricacies of romance, politics, personal goals and desires, and typically goes nowhere. The gist of philosophized conversations are forgotten in the morning.
