Observational Humor

A skit on the Tom Green Show.

Tom Green observes people on the streets, and yells at them from up close with a megaphone, pointing out what they are doing.

This often startles and/or frightens people.
Tom Green's observational humor:
"You are walking down the street!"
"You are drinking juice!"
"You are wearing a yellow hat!"

observational humor

The ability to laugh rather than weep upon seeing one's accurate reflection.
Paul awoke the morning of his 60th birthday and examined his face closely in the mirror. Laughing wryly at the sight, he vowed never to perform that act again. Observational humor, in this case, only went so far.

observationalist

An observationalist is a person who makes a statement based on real-world assessments (observational comment) about specific people, places, and events happening around them. Observations are unlike racist or stereotype comments that are generalized statements about a group of people.

Antonyms: racism, stereotypes.

Remember kids, it's cool to be an observationalist. However, tossing around stereotypes or racist comments is never cool. Know the difference!
Stereotype: "All Asians are good at math."

An Observationalist says: "Those Asian kids (over there) are human Ti89s. Each one of them scored in the 98% percentile or higher of the math section of the SATs."

Stereotype: "All priests rape little boys."

An Observationalist says: "That priest is a pedophile. I saw him ask an eight year old boy if he could pillage his cornhole with the holy disco stick."

Observational Racist

One being dubbed a "racist" because they told others of negative personal experiences that support negative stereotypes what they saw or experienced first hand while experiencing a culture or race in person.
The University's "Harmony Club" accused me of being a racist , because I told them about the fact I have been mugged once, been carjacked once, and stabbed twice, and bad experiences seem to happen only when I was in the Slobobian part of town.

I then observed that perhaps there is an inherent problem with Slobobian culture or lifestyle that makes them prone to violence against others, particularly non-Slobobians.

This would make me an Observational Racist, since it was my personal observation of my negative experience that was deemed racist.
