Derived from mental gymnastics as needed to believe lies. Spin-nastics is the manipulation that is necessary to weave a lie that most folks mental gymnastically can handle.
Pretty much anything said by a public official regarding a sensitive situation has some level of spin-nastics because folks really can’t handle stuff as it is.
