"Manabolism" is a term used to describe an activity that facilitates gains in strength, the development of brotherhood, increases in penis or testicle size, and/or swag. The word is derived from the name given to the tissue-building state known as "anabolism," to translate literally to "the building of men."
Legend has it, "manabolism" was first coined by a group of music students at the Florida State University in the early summer of 2011, as they spent the entirety of a Saturday consuming copious amounts of protein and carbohydrates (including, but not limited to bacon, steak, eggs and beer), before and after participating in a series of sports games. West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped.
