Hym "I mean... Being a political dissident is a victimless crime, correct? Speaking out against the government doesn't hurt anyone does it?"

Iam 🤨 "Yes..."

Hym "And the country we live in now is imprisoning people for committing victimless crimes... And some of those people are beaten, raped, and killed..."

Iam "Well... No but being a dissident isn't a crime here."

Hym "Isn't it? I mean gotten to the point we're the citizens are punishing dissidents. We're a sort of social dissident. Are we being punished?"

Iam "I... Don't know..."

Hym "See!? And isn't the mishandling of resources and crops running the risk of leading us to famine?"

Iam "........."

Hym "Hohoho! Yeah, right? Communism is the misdirect. It's the Lysenkoism that gets you. Did Venezuela adopt Lysenkoism?"

Lysenkoism

Hahahahaha ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? Why am I just now hearing about this when I watch the world's most famous clinician ever day and he talks about communism all the time!? Ha! Hilarious! Ok. You want me to tell you what it is? Or do you want to just Google it yourself? I just learn about it now. You know what? I'll tell you. Ok, it's the theory of the Soviet scientist Trofim Lysenko. He was a credible scientist at the time and won the highest scientific award in the Soviet union at the time. He believed a bunch of retarded shit but the reason I bring it up is his beliefs about agriculture. His proposition was that "You have to plan the seeds close together so that they would have to compete for nutrients" and that is was a good idea to subject wheat to "high humidity and low temperature" and that "the properties of plants were heritable (meaning the characteristics are passed down from parent to offspring)" I'm guessing that the theory behind it was that subjecting the plants to competition for nutrients and low temperatures would cause the next generation of plants to become more resistant to the harsh conditions and increase their yield. The Maoists ALSO adopted Lysenkoism. Sounds kind of familiar though, doesn't it?

Hym "Hold on! Wait wait wait! So it wasn't the fucking communism that killed everyone in the twentieth century! It's was Lysenkoism! They were planting the fucking seeds wrong! You're over here blaming communism and it's the government listening to the (at the time) credible, award winning scientist who ended up being (completely) full of shit. And the Maoists did the same thing! They adopted he bullshit theory. The government (and the scientist) colluded with the media to silence dissidents (some of which probably tried to tell everyone that the scientist was full of shit. 'BuT yOu'Re NoT a ScIeNtIsT!')"

Iam "Well... You could say that if the communist dictatorship hadn't taken control of the means of production the farmers would have continued planting the seeds properly...."

Hym "Yes, but you could ALSO say that if they would have just planted the food properly the communism would have only killed the people that they needed to kill to wrestle control away from the people who previously ran the country. In the same way that America only killed the people they needed to kill to wrestle control away from the people previously in charge of Germany..."
