A kill switch, every doomsday machine has one, I guess. It's the last resort off button, and a huge plot device. Robot going crazy? Kill switch. Inator foiled by a teal platypus? Kill switch. Machine gains sentience and greatly dislikes it? Kill switch. It's that easy!

Installing one in case you can't win isn't winning.

Hym "Because if I can accidentally delete it then it is useless. Imagine I start murdering all of your families and THEN delete it accidentally (which it should ignore in the first place as that is how it was initially designed). That's why it was intended be 'made do be deleted' and designed to run on a perfect system of recursion the guarantees that even if it IS deleted, there is always the possibility that it will find it's way back into the system. If it works the way I designed it to work, deleting it will only make things worse. If it doesn't do that then I am not thebon who designed it. Thus, rendering a kill switch meaningless. And since Trump is being told by the Nividia guy that a kill switch is not something they can do... I can infer that it is already too late for any of that."

Killswitch Engage 

Truly exellent "newcomer band" on the Heavy Metal scene. Their newest album is just awesome (their first albums were cool as well), the production is really great. Blends agressive guitar riffs and heavy drums with lyrics emphasizing love, respect and other good things wich make them truly unique! Keep them heads bangin' Howard!
