From the latin "his house." (hiz-hous; unstressed hiz). Once a phrase used to show possession (the pronoun, his, being the possessive form of he), now a slang term co-opted from the
negro culture by
white, mentally challenged, suburbanite adolescent males. Interestingly enough, when used in the slang form, "hizzouse" retains the adjective, verb, and noun forms of "house."
-adj.
Hizzouse
Paint, Hizzouse Salad Dressing.
-verb

-noun

I'
m going to the vaudeville hizzouse.
It is important to note that while "hizzouse" retains its noun form, it is
never acceptable to refer to
one half of a bicameral legislature as "The Hizzouse of Representatives" unless
one finds oneself in a Chris Rock film. Although that rule stands, referring to oneself as "the Speaker of the Hizzouse" is acceptable, if not encouraged.
