hipstcore

Whereas hipster is the opposite of mainstream, and hardcore is rather extreme, sometimes mainstream, hipstcore defines the area between the two: not mainstream, yet still extreme.

Hardcore is the beaten path. Hipster is walking on the much less beaten path next to it. Hipstcore is walking through the tree separating the two.

The removal or dismissal of what is largely accepted to be cool or trendy. The process of de-hipsterizing someone or something.

Ex. Carlton just wants to stay home with his wife and play parcheesi, did he get a hipsterectomy or something?

Ex. That guy’s a real d-bag supreme, he needs a hipsterectomy.

The result of a hipster being heavily aroused. Generally the result of Ray-Ban sunglasses, scarves, finding music on Youtube with less than 2,000 views, Pabst Blue Ribbon, etc.

"When I listened to Youth Lagoon's new album, I got a major hipstererection."

"When I heard their song on the radio I totally lost my hipsterection."

Criticizing someone else for being a hipster while simultaneously being a hipster oneself. Nearly all hipsters will vehemently deny their status as a dirty, PBR-swigging, ironic tattoo-having, ugly thrift store find-wearing hipster.

The person who defined this word is obviously a fucking hipster.

Sanchez: God, look at that dirty hipster. Ugh, they're like the fucking scourge of the earth. Ooh hey guys, how ironic would it be if I DIY'ed a fannypack?!

Lenore: Oh for Dov's sake, Sanchez, you're such a hipstocrite. At least I accept it.
