Greebos 

Well, on a shcool trip me and my friends had to teake off our braceletes because we were about to do archery. Yes me and my friends listen to rock music and may be rockers but we aren't how you all think we are rockers are cool. Me and my freind were saying how strange it looked without our bracelets on. I asked a boy who i know who was in our activity group if we looked strange without them. (we usaully wear them) and he said your a greebo! WE looked at eachother confused. What does that mean?! i asked him and he said greasy haired rocker! I was hurt by this, my hair is no way greasy. Later on, still on the trip a Chav *shudders* apparently called my friend this, i told her if he said that to her again tell him atleast we know how to dress (as you probaly know chavs have a bad dress sense) she laughed. But i dont agree with this atall. In my opinion it's just a word they made up because they dont like us. Can't see why though because we are really nice people and theres nothing wrong with us. (Chavs) are obviously jealous of us lol. So to me Greebo is a offensive word used against people such as rockers. Its rubbish. Associated with people who don't take pride in their appearance. But we do. Most people do! They seem to think this of (rockers) etc like they are anti social and dont care about the way they look.UNTRUE. I do all the time. But thats just my opionion of what this word greebo means from my experiances.

Greebo 

A greebo is a person who listens to rock/punk/metal music and doesn't follow fashion trends.
They don't usually class themselves as being a greebo but are assigned that title by trendies/rudes. Some of them may look quite threatening but generally they are all around nice people and they resist starting fights or arguments with people who do follow trends. However, if you were to ask one if they had anything against trendies or rude boys their answer would seldom be 'no'. Almost all Greebos have some kind of disliking towards trendies mainly because they make their lives hell. Abuse is hurled at them when they walk down the street and they frequently get the crap beaten out of them for absolutely no reason other than the fact that they are different.
Greebos also seem to be fairly itelligent people if not it one way, they are bound to be intelligent in another, this may contribute to why greebos rarely start fights with trendies and rudes, because they are intelligent enough to know that it wont solve anything.
Greebos are alternative people who just want to be treated fairly.

Trendies: *sniff the air* Look, theres something that looks nothing like us, lets make it's life a living hell.

Generic term to classify and insult anyone who either enjoy's 'extreme sports', rock music, metal music, alternative music, goth music, industrial music etc...

Stereotypical 'Greebo' would listen to Nu-Metal and wear loose fitting jeans.

Term is generally used by a Towny as an insult. Stereotypical Towny would listen to Garage music and wear branded sportswear - prefferably Nike Reebok or Adidas, Reebok Classic Training shoes, Baseball cap - either navy blue or white.

greebo 

The term Greebo originates from 1950s bikers who had greased back hair hence "greebo". Many people use the word "Greebo" in reference to teenagers who listen to rock bands and dress in a manner which distances themselves from the masses. Chavs/trendies/townies etc have been fighting with greebos since the legendary "mods and rockers". Today, we see two subcultures opposing each other, Chavs and Greebos. While chavs have a tendency to be on the less academic side, a large portion of greebos continue on through further education. This is mainly due to the class divide. It has been noted by numerous sociological sources that Chavs are predominantly working class; while "Greebos" are predominantly middle class.

Chavs should be nice to greebos because one day they'll be working for one!

Grebos 

A grebo is a commonly used term for people who follow an 'anti-pop' culture. The grebo's archenemy is the townie; grebos generally prefer to wear baggy, darker clothing as well as simple metal jewelry to reflect their darker, anti-pop lifestyle. Most grebos will listen to Slipknot or any other number of popular nümetal bands such as Disturbed.

The contradiction of the Grebo is that through their anti-pop mantra they have effectively created a subculture much like the one that they have rebelled against; it is one that exists to defy the opposite of what pop culture is, and still has its own subcultural standards in wardrobe, music, speech, etc., making the Grebo subculture somewhat pretentious, yet more open to social outcasts or socially unaccepted / otherwise politically incorrect schools of thought or action.

Look at those Grebos, listening to Slipknot. Don't they see that through their rebellion they have built nothing much greater than the culture they have rebelled against?

Greebo 

Idiotic-sounding definition for a person who likes heavy metal/rock etc. Used by members of the flock to pigeonhole individuals into a category. Describes a person who won't follow boring trends or be brainwashed by the constant stream of waste excreted from the filthy abyss of the pop music industry.

Look at those gloves! You f*cking greebo. You want to get yourself some Calvin Klein gear. Beat her up, babe.
