faketernative

A "faketernative" is someone who claims to be alternative but really isnt. Like indie people, they tend to call themselves alt without knowing the meaning. Another meaning is fake alternative people who dress alt but dont listen to the music and think the word "alt" is one word and also often thinks that being an egirl is alt. lol

"!Example 1: "Look at her! shes such a faketernative all she does is drink monster energy, wear eyeliner and say shes alt
Example 2: Girl 1: "Do you like my outfit its so alt" c
Girl 2: "so cool, what do you listen to"c
Girl 1: "Clairo, tame impala, lil peep andd-" c
Girl 2: "Let me stop you right there, you're not alt! you're a faketernative." c

fauxternative

Kids who think they are cool and alternative when they are really not, and are just crap at life. These kids tend to sit around having "jam" sessions on their guitars, believe in socialism (when they really have no idea wtf it is), wear black nailpolish and have dreads, but on the inside are little mummy's boys who ain't hardcore. They also probably wear coloured underwear.

"God I was at this guys place the other day, and everyone there was totally fauxternative"

falternative

Something dat you do instead of clumsily screwing up.

Carrying objects in a backpack is a good falternative to awkwardly lugging them in your arms, where you might stumble and drop said cargo.
