A superficial person that monitors his/her personal image whenever passing near a reflective surface, such as an especially clean car, a slightly reflective window, or a pool of water. However, the term functions in a stronger manner if, for example, one intentionally aligns his/her path so as to monitor his/her stride while approaching the reflective surface. I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.
