A Domonique is someone who can seem to be shy and quiet at first, but once you get to know her she's a bold and fun little ball of fire. This girl is a once in a life time-deal! She has a bright and bubbly attitude/personality and is nice to everyone. She's obsessed with bubbles, dance music and good food. She's can be both extremely outgoing and very introverted depending on her mood. If you know her, you're bound to fall for her eventually. You're lucky if she's your friend, and even more lucky if you're able to make her your girlfriend. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
