Bungo Stray Dogs ( 文豪ストレイドッグス Bungo sutorei doggusu ? , Lett. "Stray dogs literary masters") is a manga written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, serialized on Young Ace of Kadokawa Shoten from 4 December 2012 . A literary transposition began in 2014, while an anime adaptation, produced by Bones , aired in Japan from April 6 to December 21, 2016 . In Italy the manga rights have been purchased by Planet Manga, while the anime was streamed by Crunchyroll .

The story revolves around the Armed Detective Agency , made up of individuals with supernatural abilities. Most of the characters are named after deceased japanese writers and their abilities are named after their works.

Bundordie is a prestigious clan with a fearsome gang mentality (as suggested by Ian Greener). This group patrols and safeguards the innocent magpies of Melbourne and will go to extreme lengths to protect this holy species of bird, even if it means Urbex. The members of the Bundordie clan are all hard cunts who have a spiritual connection to the maggie's and it requires years of dedication, training and initiations to become apart of the clan. Those who are not apart of the clan but proclaim the word of Bundordie shall be stoned to death by the assassin known as "Haydar" (meaning stealthy Syrian).

The name "Bundordie" originates from a legendary magpie known as Chief Bundordie. He was the leader of all magpies across Australia and was the biggest hard cunt. His hobbies included downing VB in the arvo, shanking local Eshays and rolling TN's from shit cunts from Oakleigh Station.
