Backsplain

The act of condescendingly explaining a fact or concept to the specific person who initially taught you that fact or concept.
Todd backsplained how to cook a good omelette to his chef friend who showed him the recipe the previous week.

brandsplain

When a brand explains something in a long, proper, and formal way, which always makes them sound good no matter what the situation is. These statements can easily be explained in fewer words.
Example of brandsplaining: We are deeply sorry for this one-time inconvenience, and we can affluently promise this event will never happen again under the status quo.

L.p. When you have to explain basic bar ettiquete and recipes to drunk sixty year olds who revert to toddler status after one vodka soda
I had to barsplain why a gin and coke doesn't go together

Babysplaining

Less mature than boysplaining which, in turn, is a less mature version of mansplaining. This is as low as it gets.
I tried to ask him a question but he started babysplaining so I gave up.

Bandsplaining

When someone goes above and beyond to illustrate they know more about a band than someone who has expressed interest in that band, especially with a condescending tone or attitude .
"I see you have a Motorhead shirt on. I bet you cant name 3 songs off the Inferno album . See, most people only know Ace of Spades, but....."

(This person was bandsplaining to someone else )

Second definition: when you ask a band what kind of music they play and they go on for 10 minutes, listing obscure bands and saying how you'll never really understand it until you listen to their album.

E.g- Chad: what kind of music does your band play?

Tim: we're like a mixture of punk and country, with a little jazz/reggae. We have some tones of Johnny Cash from '72-73, plus some hints of Zanphire. But like his B-side stuff, not his popular/mainstream stuff. But that doesnt really explain it all the way.
