the contest that year, making history as the first Swedish act to do so. They went on to become the biggest band of the Seventies, releasing legendary songs like Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Knowing Me Knowing You (AHAAA) They broke down the “Only American and British Acts Are Sucessful” barrier.
They broke up in 1982, but their musical Mamma Mia which was first premiered in 1998, has been seen by over 350 million people and earned £2 billion. Their 1992
Greatest Hits Album has become the second best selling album of all time and their movie Mamma Mia is
the highest grossing musical movie of all time.
