tight as dick's hat band

When something is very close fitting. Also can mean when someone is a cheapskate.

Also can be a play on words. Dick is a man's name and he wears a hat that is too tight....but it can also refer to the male genitalia and the foreskin around the head.
"Man, that dress she had on was tight as dick's hat band!"

"I will never date Johnny again. He is too cheap! Tight as dick's hat band."

brick as dick

1) An extreme version of the slang term "brick." Instead of meaning just cold, "brick as dick" means freezing.
2) An adjective used to describe something brolic.
3) An adjective used to describe something extremely hard.

city chicken 

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.
