Varmai

Varmai, derived from Marathi langauge, ''Var'' means the Groom, "Mai" means mother of the groom.
Usually on the wedding day the mother of the groom or even the bride in some sub-caste is dressed in tradional wear and a procession is carried out in the vicinity. The procession is also named as Varmai.
The orignal inhabitans of Mumbai, India are Koli's & East Indian's and are sure to have a Varmai procession at the wedding.
