Trigger Mortis

A certain lockjaw of the thumb, resulting from playing too aggressively during button mashing video games. Most often associated with heated matches of Mario Party.
Dude, I so could have won that minigame had I not caught the trigger mortis!

Trigger Mortise

The state after being triggered
Wow this _____ is entering trigger mortise”

That phenomenon when you go to shoot yourself but you are frozen stiff and can’t manage to pull the trigger.
I guess triggermortis just kicked in when I thought about the prospect of being dead.

To take something small, that doesn't quite qualify as a theft. Probably from the Danish "skæv" or the Dutch "scheef", both of which are pronounced similarly, meaning "askew, or not quite right'. To change an item's ownership without permission, but only something small and of little worth.
"I skeefed an apple off the neighbor's tree." "I skeefed some chips outta your bag when you looked away." "Don't skeef my chair when I go to the bathroom."
