The economy

Jim: You know, I WANNA get a job but no one's hiring right now. It's the economy bro.

Rick: No it isn't, you're just a lazy shithead with nothing going for you

Jim: ;(

The economy is booming

(Often used by greedy Republicans)

When the “economy” is booming, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. People work more than one job because too much of capitalism has driven them to need to and then the data reports to the immoral, avaricious politicians that the unemployment rate has plummeted. The lower classes don’t get enough money to consistently be financially sound for contributing all their hard work to the sake of this country run by idiots.
“The economy is booming

when the economy picks up

Common beginning or ending to a sentence. It can serve to:

1. provide an excuse for why one has not yet done something.
2. suggest a vague intention of doing something later (similar to how Spanish speakers use the word "mañana.")
3. add minimal credibility to an idea that is a pipe dream.
1. There's no point in looking for a job until the economy picks up.
2. I'll start my business when the economy picks up.
3. Unemployment levels will go back down to the levels they were in the late 1990s when the economy picks up.

Thanks To The Economy

Common beginning or ending to a sentence. It can serve to:

1. provide an excuse for going on a spending splurge and buying things at their lowest prices ever.
2. suggest a sarcastic tone of frustration with work (cut in hours, cut in pay, cut in benefits, downsizing, laid off).
3. add to the delusional lie that the economy is getting better because of being fixated on greed and material possessions.
4. express serious concern for not having enough to live on.

For those still in denial that THE ECONOMY HAS ALREADY CRASHED AND IS JUST BEING PUMPED FULL OF MONEY TO KEEP IT AFLOAT, see: when the economy picks up
1. Look at all the stuff I bought at dirt cheap prices, thanks to the economy.
2. Thanks to the economy, my full-time job is giving me part-time hours, we lost ten employees, and no more company picnics.
3. Thanks to the economy, we have money and nice things we can buy.
4. Our grocery limit each week is only twenty dollars, thanks to the economy.

Failure Shower

When you fail at something in life (eg. failing an exam or not getting a job), go home and spend an hour just standing in the shower, propping yourself up against the wall with your eyes on your feet.
Caleb knew the only thing to do after he didnt get prefect was take a failure shower.
