syringered

(n) The act of raising the expectations of forum members by posting a story (typically regarding a member of the opposite sex) as it develops in real time, updating every three or four minutes but ultimately failing to provide a conclusion.

(no response from mikey after 2 days)

syringered

It would be a VERB not a NOUN. (rolls eyes)
"I've been syringered."
As opposed to
"I'm a syringered."
Duh.

stingered

To be taken by a ponzi scheme. To lose money on a venture when one party doesn't live up to its' agreements. To get stung in a bad deal where one side doesn't live up to expectations.
"Our company is thinking of sponsoring that race team, but we need to perform better due-dilly so as not to get stingered again."

"We tried to pre-order that new crowd-funded widget, but we got stingered and the company never delivered. I'm still waiting!!!"

Syringer

The unofficial ATOT Whipping Boy, constantly ridiculed by forum members for not finishing his infamous spider story (see Syringered).

One day, the AnandTech forum moderators decided to join in the fun and started giving him custom titles, ranging from Junior Member (used for new members with <25 posts; he has over 8000) to Useless User to a Cute Little ..
Syringer: (virtually anything)

some other members: SPIDER (often done with a quote pyramid where each member adds a letter)

sympathizer: Quit harassing Syringer. It's getting old.

somebody else: SPIDER! :P

fache-couture

French slang, which translated, means "bull's fashion" but basically equates to "hyper trendy" or overly trendy. Used when a person wishes to express distaste at the latest fashion trend/fad, because it seems that everyone has a certain item of clothing or is wearing it. This term is most frequently heard in Paris but is slowly spreading to other parts of France.
1. That Burberry scarf is so fache-couture.
2. That purple American Apparel hoodie is so fache-couture.

A slang term for GLP-1 medications(like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.), usually referring to their appetite-killing, weight-loss, or “I forgot to eat” effects rather than the medical details.

Usage:
* Often casual, ironic, or meme-y
* Can imply effortless weight loss, suppressed hunger, or being “powered by pharmaceuticals”

Notes:
Not a brand name—just shorthand for the whole GLP-1 wave. Frequently shows up in online jokes, gym talk, and group chats where people pretend they’re *totally* doing it naturally.
“I’m not dieting, I’m just on that glippy.”
“Ever since the glippy hit, food feels optional.”
“That summer body? Yeah, glippy assisted.”

fauxstalgia

Faux nostalgia. Faking old things in an attempt to recapture the feeling of times gone past, especially of technology that has passed.
Hipstamatic pictures, just like the vinyl-static added to digital recordings, is prime fauxstalgia
