SHOMBEE

Shombee is the name of one of the many followers of the Sun. Not a day consists of Shombee missing out on the Sun’s strong powerful rays of light and heat. It is also said that once a month Shombee fasts only consuming water, boiled eggs, and the sun.

Sheesh, my poptart is so burnt . I’ll name it Shombee.

Usually derogatory. A tourist at the (New Jersey) shore. He can often be identified by his pasty palor and inapprpriate clothing, e.g. black knee-socks with bobos (inexpensive footware), plaid shorts, and a shirt emblazoned with "I'm With Stupid." Etymology: said to derive from the "shoebox" in which shoobees once packed their lunches. Alternative etymology: from the refrain of popular Philadelphia music of 1950's and 1960's (example: "shoobee doo-wop"). Often shortened to shoob.

A Shoebee is what on the old Nickolodeon show, "rocket Power" was the local nickname for a tourist. Tourists were called a shoe-bee because of how they wear sneakers or socks under sandals to the beach.

Otto: Guys, squid is totally looking like a shoebee.
Squid: what? how?
Reggie: Dude, youre wearing socks under your sandals...
Squid: ooooooh.
