A lot of companies are always improving their apps(and other digital products) . Either they do Incremental Innovation or they do Disruptive Innovation (The great Clayton M Chistensen's concept).

When they follow the 2nd path i.e the path of disruptive innovation for revamping their apps. It's called REVAPP

The loud house revamped is the longest fanfiction even beating out "The Sub Space Emissary's World Conquest" which was a smash bros fanfic that held the title for a long time.
