go to sleep plant 

A mimosa, so named because if you touch its leaves they fold up like it's sleeping & a few minutes later they open again.

My Granddad had a go to sleep plant, as we called it & we as kids loved to make it "go to sleep". It's fascinating!

purple velvet plant 

A cool house plant whose leaves look like they're covered in purple velvet. It's a vine & can grow in excess of 6' & its flowers look almost like dandelions but more orange.

The purple velvet plant was my favorite & I was shocked when it grew those beautiful flowers!

Industry Plant 

An industry plant is an artist who has Major/Indie Label backing their movement but presents themselves as a "home grown start up" label to create a pseudo organic following. They act as if things are miraculously happening for them based on their talent (via blog coverage, media coverage, mtv playing their vids, etc.) The reality is a low risk/high reward situation for labels looking to build the next "new star"

Industry plant 

An artist or a series of works that has a financial and/or marketing backing from the ground up, usually by an above company or industry, but shows or attempts to show an image of it being otherwise.

To support said image, industry plants often try to blend into categories of other works and artists that are legitimately independent from any fundamental outside support.

"That musician is such an industry plant."

OfficialGreyMusic is a vegan rapper who dropped a dope ass freestyle in the car in 2016 called “Vegan Thanksgiving”. He became an internet sensation because his style and originality. He then coined the phrase “Plant Based Drippin”. Ex. Grey the rapper got so much swag, he’s plant based drippin!
