Neo Ethnic

Neo Ethnic:

Mixed and other race

Mixed are created by sexual unions that cross ethnic and racial boundaries adding both richness and complexity to most societies. Another category seen in racial classifications is “other”, this permitting those not included to identify themselves, or be identified by the observer. Without this individually small, but collectively large, populations remain hidden when policy on ethnic diversity is made.

ethnocultural neo-anthropology

a new sub-branch of cultural anthropology
ethnocultural neo-anthropology should be devoted to answering the sole question of whether or not decolonized people in Third World countries can, without either immigrating to the Western World or financial help from the United Nations, historically, economically, and socially develop along Western lines using their own cultural and religious markers that they had prior to the beginnings of colonialism, i.e. prior to 1469 (the marriage of Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castille. I think the answer is yes.

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
