Joe Paterno

To provide cover for illicit activity. To provide a false alibi or to cover up someone else's nasty behavior.
You want to cheat on your wife, go ahead. But don't ask me to cover for you- I'm not your Joe Paterno.

If the cops call, you're on your own. I'm not your Joe Paterno.

Don't do that in front of me. You're not Jerry Sandusky and I'm not Joe Paterno.

He shoplifted that CD, then expected me to Joe Paterno him.

She told her mom she was spending the night at my house when she was actually with her boyfriend. She should have warned me ahead of time if she expected me to Joe Paterno her.

Steaming Joe Paterno

When one poops his pants at a football game in the winter and steam rises from his pants.
After Purdue scored that third touchdown versus Penn State I took a Steaming Joe Paterno. The fans behind me warmed their hands over it.

Pulling a Joe Paterno

After hearing or witnessing something that would normally get a person upset, it is the act of turning the other way and pretending like it never happened.
Guy #1: So...did you hear that Jim knew that girl was being raped and did nothing?

Guy #2: Yeah, he was busy pulling a Joe Paterno.

God Shot

A chance happening with profound meaning, an unexpected blessing, a "sign".
Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab said "All of a sudden what had been just another Hollywood proposal became for him an unexpected blessing, an opportunity for growth. In drug recovery language, that's called a "God shot."

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
