It is a grammar school for girls only, in which there is next to no male interaction, leaving all the pupils unmarried until they are thirty. They force their pupils to wear skirts down to their knees. In the winter, they are forced to wait outside in the freezing cold until they are let in. Everyone that attends Highsted wishes they didn't. Highsted staff try to brainwash there pupils into becoming spinsters - however the pupils fight off their hypnotism.
