Hierarchy

So... if I’m a lobster... and I’m at the bottom of a dominance hierarchy... and I want to fight the lobster at the top of the dominance hierarchy.... do I have to fight my way to the top of the dominance hierarchy one lobster at a time? Or do I just fight the lobster at the top? Yeah.... that’s what I thought.
Hym “Yeah, see. This is why your hierarchy thing is bullshit. Hierarchy doesn’t prevent the lobsters at the bottom from fighting the lobsters at the top. And here you are trying to run away. Scuttling your little lobster legs off. Trying to put as many lobsters between me and you as possible. And you need that. Yeah need the other lobsters to protect you. Which is not how lobsters work. And you need me to be obstructed be artificial hierarchy. Because what happens if I’m not? Everyone finds out you’re a charlatan and you lose everything? Is that what happens?”

Hierarchy of Contact

In the digital age we all have a multitude of options for communication. It can be inferred that there is a kind of "Contact Hierarchy" and "Contact Continuum" as not all modes hold the same weight with communication ranging from 1-10.

Hierarchy of contact in 2010 as defined by this contributor:

1. Face to face
2. Telephone
3. Personal Letter
4. SMS, BBIM
5. Email
6. Personal message eg FB
7. Instant Message eg FB, MSN
8. Wall postings, comments
8. "Like," "Poke"
9. Nil contact.
10. Active blocking of contact.

Note: Higher order = increased responsiveness.

A more serious and/or important matter or message would attract a higher order of communication, with the top order being face to face. There are so many ways to communicate, the options are greater than ever before. But is all modes of communication the same, and attracting the same weight of force? Therefore there is a hierarchy. This may vary per user, but there is a hierarchy.
Hierarchy of Contact refers to how the more important the message or reason to communicate, or the person to communicate with, the higher in the order that communication would be. Conversely, less important is therefore lower.

Example, you really need to speak with someone about something serious, you want to face to face with them. If its not serious at all, you might make a posting on their social network wall.

At the end of the hierarchy is active blocking, where someone deliberately refuses any mode of contact.

Hierarchy of passion

Face is more intimate than genitals which is more intimate than hands.

1. Kissing (most passionate)
2. Blowjob
3. Sex
4. Handjob (least passionate)
Did you guys kiss?
No, wasn’t ready for that yet. It’s too high on the hierarchy of passion.

hierarchy of fail

The fail rating system; All fails are bad but some require their own particular term. The heirarchy is as follows:
1. Fail - bad but survivable
2. Epic Fail - Worst fail most people acheive, should make you at least consider suicide and/or mass killings to hide your shame.
3. Jail Fail - Name says it all
4. Death Fail - only useable for darwin award nominees
Only dumb MFs don't properly apply the hierarchy of fail.

hierarchy of asians

A system established to readily identify the stands of all major Asian groups of not limited to but most common to Southern California.

At the top of the hierarchy are the Koreans and Japanese. These two groups hate each other but almost have a interdependence when it comes to culture, media and entertainment. A close second are the Chinese. They may look Korean or Japanese but they lack in style and common sense.

Next we get to the L.G.As, Short for Low Grade Asians. These Asians are mostly from Southeast Asia.

Vietnamese, Cambodian, Laotian, and Thai

*many people think that Filipinos are Asians but they are more of an exotic islanders. The U.G.As dont really consider the Filipinos to follow under the Asian Hierarchy system
U.G.A 1:I can't believe you hang out with those L.G.As

U.G.A 2: Dude, L.G.As are people too.

White guy: WTFs a L.G.A? Is there some kind of hierarchy of asians?

U.G.A 1 and 2: Duhhh... you didnt know that?

hierarchy of news

A phrase that can be used when, after a lengthy conversation, someone mentions an important piece of personal news. The phrase—often shouted—implies that the speaker should have mentioned the important news much earlier in the conversation.
::30 minutes into conversation::
Person A: ..(conclusion of long, boring, work story)...oh yeah and my car was stolen.
Person B: Wait, what? Hierarchy of news!
