the plural form of dingus, not to be confused with a bunch of people who are dumb, but a bunch of people acting dumb to make others laugh, if they were all dumb, they would be idiots, but they are not dumb and just act dumb

dingnat
The dingnat is characterized primarily by how annoying they are, but the most essential element of their behavior is a resolute refusal to be considerate of how other people's perspectives and feelings differ from their own while refusing to take responsibility.
