Copespiracy Theory

A far-fetched conspiracy theory that serves as an alternative explanation for an event someone finds unpleasant or inconvenient.
John: I was just accepted to Harvard University.
Joe: There's no way Harvard accepted you
John: Here's the acceptance letter.
Joe: You probably paid someone on the admissions board to make you a fake acceptance letter.
John: That's just a copespiracy theory.

Cornish conspiracy theory

Share definition Flag
The Cornish conspiracy theory is claimed to be a long-running conspiracy by the English establishment to suppress Cornish people of their rights, identity and autonomy. It is claimed that the main reason why the Cornish are being denied recognition of their identity is to prevent any public debate or official enquiry into the constitutional status of Cornwall regarding the Duchy of Cornwall, sometimes referred to as the "Cornish Question". Historians point to the fact that in 1508 the 'Charter of Pardon' was granted by Henry VII to give Cornwall (Kernow) a legal right to its own Parliament and the 1858 Cornish Foreshore Case confirmed that the Duke of Cornwall is considered to be a quasi-sovereign within the Duchy of Cornwall territory (Kernow). In 1971 The Kilbrandon Report into the British constitution recommended that when referring to Cornwall official sources should cite the Duchy not the County and in 1977 Plaid Cymru MP Dafydd Wigley confirmed in Parliament that the Stannators right to veto Westminster legislation is still valid today.
'Ere, I reckon it's that there Cornish conspiracy theory again - what they doin' about that 50,000 petition for more autonomy, that there Cornish Census tick box, more money for a proper Cornish language and recognition as a proper indigenous ethnic group with the Council of Europe ? matter do 'ee ?

The Conspiracy Theory Against Muffins and Cupcakes

Share definition Flag
Many people like to say that muffins are ugly cupcakes.
This is my theory:
It is not that muffins are ugly cupcakes, but that cupcakes are altered and frosted muffins. The dye on them refers to tanning and the frosting refers to an excess amount of makeup. Cupcakes are whores in the muffin world, while muffins are pure and natural.

Now tell me, whose the ugly dessert now?
Belle: Muffins > Cupcakes
Monica: Muffins are just ugly cupcakes.
Jared: Actually, cupcakes are just altered muffins with makeup on. I call this the conspiracy theory against muffins and cupcakes.
Belle: So cupcakes are whores?
Jared: That would be weird because cupcakes are inanimate objects. But yes, exactly.

Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura

Share definition Flag
A show revolving around possible government conspiracies, with Jesse Ventura.
And it's the worst comedy show out there.

Jesse Ventura shows how utterly ignorant he is on this show. One minute he's asking questions over and over again to scrawny researchers, and when they answer his question he gives the half assed excuse of "Not allowing him to speak." Jesse's extremely serious "cool-guy persona" is incredibly bleak and blunt.

Jesse believes that the government is responsible for everything, and you'll be damned if you believe otherwise. He actually believes that the John Lennon murder was a conspiracy, 9/11 conspiracy, fuck, even Area 51. AREA MOTHERFUCKING 51. He'd believe anything that you tell him if it involves the government covering it up. I can't wait for him to do a piece on Maddox's "Unfastened Coins: The Titanic Conspiracy" satirical parody on Loose Change.

The biggest fault in all of this is his logic. His logic is along the lines of "Oh, the government did it, but they covered up any proofs!" Good point, fucktard, but guess what: If you claim that this definition of you was really mandated by the government and they covered up any proof of it, I CANNOT argue otherwise. Even if I did come to you face to face.
Did you see Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura today?

Yeah, he totally proved that the Titanic sinking was a conspiracy!

The new SPOILER ALERT. After the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic where the majority of the theories deemed to be conspiracy actually happened or were proven to be true, the word got its new meaning since those theories being called "conspiracy theory" will probably happen a couple of months later.
Conspiracy theory (SPOILER ALERT): We will have vaccine passports

Conspiracy theory (SPOILER ALERT): The virus was lab-made

Conspiracy theory (SPOILER ALERT): Vaccinated people will still get infected and be able to spread the virus

Conspiracy Theory

Share definition Flag
1. A bizarre, often improbable "theory" about something; it can be anything.
2. A pejorative term used to dismiss people who see through the federal government's bullshit.
An example of a conspiracy theory is the belief that Paul McCartney died in a car accident at the height of the Beatles' fame and was replaced with a "lookalike" who has lived a double-life ever since. It's bizarre because no one has definitive evidence aside from a lot of cryptic lyrics in the Beatles' 1967-1970 songs, and improbable because birth records show that Paul McCartney is very much alive as of December 2022, there is no evidence of him having a twin brother (he DOES have a brother, named Peter, but he is 1.5 years younger), and if he was actually replaced by a lookalike, it probably wouldn't take nearly 60 years to find out. Not to mention, the "real" Paul would have been declared dead in absentia if this was correct, but no such ruling has been given.

Nowadays, as mentioned above, the term is often used to dismiss people who don't believe a word the government says.

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh

- Just forget about it, you don't have enough SkyPesos to fly anywhere.
