That being said, the combination of people usually varies between ghetto kids and stoners, at least in the younger generation. The area consists of the flatlands (where El Cerrito High, the Plaza, the Cerrito Theater, Nations, etc. are located) and the hills, which is the more residential area. Most people who live in El Cerrito are quite liberal, though not as much as Berkeley. A lot of people smoke weed.
