This occurs when AI is used to create a fake online persona, generate convincing but inauthentic responses, or mask a real person's identity or genuine personality with AI-generated content. The aim is typically to elicit personal information, financial gain, or emotional engagement, or to manipulate interactions to effectively conceal the botfisher's true identity or personality from detection.
The act or instance of being deceived by an AI or chatbot in the manner described above.
A person who has been deceived by an AI or chatbot.
