Since its inception, the word has become favored by many, who use it as a way to describe a part of themselves beyond the physical realm. It is not a literal "hole," but rather a space within the mind, and could be imagined to be as deep and functional as a water well "hole" in the ground. One may ask why "bossy" is used to describe this state of consciousness that is the "hole;" BKvalues has an answer to that. My coworker took all of the credit for the project we worked on together. I checked in with my bossyhole and realized that this was not fair. I told my boss later on that I worked on the project as well. I don't know what I would do without having such a great relationship with my bossyhole. Bossywork is busywork specifically designed to make your boss look less ignorant about his job. It consists of producing pages of documentation to explain the obvious or prove negatives (the product didn't change, so we don't need new education.) Much of bossywork consists of building slide decks from portions of other slide decks, since no manager can be expected to read more than one deck per day.
I have to get this bossywork done before the design committee meets since my boss is the committee chair. Hopefully, after that, I can get some real work done.

I developed this term in the 90s back when I was about 9 at primary school and used it to refer to some of the girls in my class who always used to boss me around at break-time and played 'teacher'. Whenever we'd start to have fun playing inventive games in our little classroom (we didn't have a playground), they would always interfere and try and make us do more serious, boring stuff and just tell a teacher that we were being 'naughty'. It also refers to the sort of person that takes 'no ball game' and 'no music' signs ultra-seriously and gets so obsessed with pointless rules that they actually consider lobbying for councils to put up 'no laughing' signs in parks.
I sort of find these people funny because I often think they just try to interfere and tell people off because they secretly deep down want to become involved with the fun crew even if that means being unpopular. As the saying goes, 'I'd rather be hated than ignored'...
