indie person

a person who does not care what anybody thinks or what is going on around them.
an indie person loves random music that no one has ever heard of. they often like to wear what most people would consider "gay" attire. such as scarfs, striped shirts, colorful jeans, messed up hair as if they just woke up,tons of bracelets, and the list goes on. o yea and a person who wears v-necks
indie people see life in a whole new perspective. really random stuff turns them on, random pictures of random things, and drawings of random ass designs and creative shit. example:a piggen walking down the street will catch their attention, or taking pics of them selves while smoking a cigg, in front of a no smoking sign. or just a picture of them selves walking down some back road alone.
this is really the best and real definition of an indie person.

A misunderstood joke in the disguise of a "subculture". Really, Indie is a nostalgic trend that consists of black rimmed glasses, tight jeans, and God forbid those goddamned Red Beanies. In a nutshell, Indie is a derived term from the term "indie rock" where kids who aren't puss enough to be emo but too puss to skate.

Have you seen those Indie Kids with their tight jeans and red beanies? Damn they're stupid.

-indie kids listen ___ (cannot name any bands because if someone knows who they are then they are not indie, and wear vintage clothes.
-emo kids listen to screamo music and wear black clothes.
oh yeah totally the same? i dont think so....
anyways indie kids wear granny clothes and like to stand out and be different.

emo kid: oh nothing much. slit my wrists again.

Indie kid

Elitists who often times try to make themselves look "different" and "mysterious". Listening solely to bands that you've never heard of and even dropping them once they make more than 50 fans. Each indie kid is "different" in the same way. They take part in such activities as going to concerts and crappy photography. There seems to be some sort of one-sided war between indie kids and scene/emo kids, but quite frankly, they're both nearly identical. The only difference is that indie kids are butthurt to be put under a label.

"Have you heard the new death cab for cutie song?"

"No way, I haven't listened to death cab since 2004, because they sold out and went to Atlantic Records, and true indie kids wouldn't listen to that"
