Yemaya (Yemoja, Iamanja) is the orisha (goddess) of the ocean in Afro-Caribbean religions such as Santeria, and in many modern Pagan faiths. She is depicted as a mermaid in the ocean, or a woman in her 30s on land, where she wears flowing white clothes and blue beads.
