In "Pink, Plunk, Plink", the
Pink Panther consistently plays the part of a wrenegade, much to the disgusted fury of the stuck-up and short-tempered conductor, who is trying to get the
orchestra to play "Beethoven's Fifth" instead of the "
Pink Panther Theme". In the end, though, Pinky prevails, and a beaming Henry Mancini himself claps approvingly from the audience-stands.
