wineku 

a short form of poetry mutated from haiku which is about vinyards, wine, wine country, drinking & tasting wine or the effects thereof. it has the same format as haiku (ie. three lines with 5-7-5 syllables).

1. Reciting wineku while tasting wine lends literary accompanyment to the spirit of the grape.

2. An example of wineku:

from mouth to stomach
wine becomes internal falls
uncorks dry laughter

An individual who derives excessive pleasure from all aspects of wine, often exhibiting symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Usually found in vineyards and tasting rooms throughout the world while on vacation, the wine bar closest to home, his or her wine cellar, and wine stores, the wineaux will also have large decorative books on wines, terroir, viticulture, and wine-making at home, along with a collection of Wine Spectator magazine. Additionally, wineauxs tend to gather in herds at wine tastings - especially free ones.

Those people standing around sniffing wine glasses are obviously wineauxs in their natural habitat.

Etymology: Believed to have been coined by the president of the Pittsburgh Wine Festival in May of 2004 on the occaision of the festival as witnessed by this contributor.

After a sip of wine, the soft touch of anothers lips, in a perfect moment, with a taste of wine left on the lips.

The amount of wine shared can vary...from merely the hint of a bouquet...to a robust lip coating...but if it actually passes between the lips, to the other person, it becomes a wine snowball.

Winekisses become self-perpetuating. Since wine makes two people amorous...winekisses lead to more winekisses.

She didnt like dry cabernets...but when he gave her a nice winekiss with it...she couldnt get enough!
