what are you?

Originated in the ghetto streets of High Wycombe, England. Upon being insulted with the usual derogotory profanities, the person would then reply with this phrase. Making the person whol insulted you, think about what indeed are they. Realising they are nothing, this insult usually wins....
Colin: "you know, you really are a cock!"
Alger: "really?"
Colin: "yeh, and your gay!"
Alger: "really? well tehn what are you?"

What are you?!

A catchphrase you ask somebody when they’re doing something weird or abnormal.

what are you doing step bro?

The question you ask when your step bro walks into your room with his big schlong dong out and about. Expect "Sweet Home Alabama," to start playing in the next few seconds.
Step Sis: *in a loli voice* What are you doing step bro? *bites her lip as she tugs on her skirt*

FBI Agent: Okay I have seen enough

what are you, hourly?

A phrase making reference to being paid by the hour and implying that someone is taking an excessive amount of time doing something. Quoted most often on the FX series Archer. It can be used in reverse.
Archer "what are you, hourly?"

Archer "take your time, I'm hourly."

What Are You Doing Step Bro?

What you ask when your step bro is doing something he’s not supposed to.
Step Sis: “HELP! I’M STUCK”
Step Bro walks in.
Step Sis feels something.
Step Sis: “What Are You Doing Step Bro?”
