Vulagism n. the ideology and policies adopted by regimes to deny men basic human rights (
eg 'presumption of guilt of the accused', discriminatory HR departments, lopsided Family Courts, etc.) in the name of
female protection or advancement.
Origin: late 20th century: from
vagina + gulag + ism. Gulag (Russian) is used in the colloquial sense of a (neo) marxist repressive system, based on the historical GULAG (Главное управление по делам военнопленных и интернированных), referred to as the "
meat-grinder" by prisoners.
Vulagism starts with the marriage contract but is especially prevalent in so-called Family
Courts. As a
staunch vulagist, she supported #metoo as
well as discriminatory hiring practices that favoured women at the expense of men.
