A simple sport similar to volleyball except you use a trashcan. Designed in 2017 by a group of high school runners. It is best played in the woods between 2 trees . you are allowed to catch the can but you can't hold onto it for awhile. best played 2v2 depending on the court size. no low cheap shots.

Get the valleying mug.As a derivative of the popular high school sport Volley Ball, Volley Can was created in 2017 by a group of high school runners. Volleycan is very similar to volley ball (and sports that use rally scoring) however there is an eccentric twist to the typical medium in which the game is played.
Volleycan can be considered Volley Ball, but with a large unwieldy object (Typically a trashcan) that you are allowed to hold during play in place of the ball. The -Can part could be considered a suffix of sorts that can be replaced with the object used.
The official standard is to use a trashcan that is around 20-50 gallons on a court that is dictated by lines drawn parallel to the displacement between two trees. Court size is a controversial subject, however the founders of the sport tend to agree that the court size should be at least 10 feet in length in order to allow two people on each side. The only rules are that the can must go up into the air a reasonable amount (generally dictated before play) and that it must be plausible for someone to catch the volley can after it is thrown (No spinning the can or otherwise throwing cheap shots). There is no current standard for the time you may spend holding the can, but it's generally agreed that you're a dick if you hold on to it for too long.
