Tantalus's Cupboard (TC) 

A non newspeak term for Universal Basic Income (UBI).

When goods and services are technically available, visible in store windows, online websites and metaverses, but ordinary citizens can't access them due to shortages, rationing, price and an unacceptable social credit score.

Tantalus a Greek mythological figure, most famous for his punishment in Tartarus, was made to stand in a pool of water beneath a fruit tree with low branches. The fruit ever eluding his grasp, the water always receding before he could take a drink.

TC Stachington is the bravest soldier 'stache to ever have existed. He carries around a 200 lb man backpack while finding the enemy and eliminating them. TC leaves no one behind. TC will punch you in the face, then down a Shiner Bock with you and explain why you deserved it. TC loves kittens and pussy and they love him back. To steal a phrase from Action Figure therapy, TC is like a "mustache with titties.". Fuckin' Bad Ass.

TC Syndrome 

Named for the original case TC Syndrome is a condition where a lacrosse player, usually a middie, finds himself unable to score in a season despite receiving quality opportunities. It is often associated with bad luck and the player adjusting to a mostly defensive role. TC Syndrome is "cured" when the player finally scores. The initial goal is always followed by another in the same game, which will go on to be a victory. The goals are often of some significance, being scored in a close game or the final game of the season

After suffering from TC Syndrome all season, Sean Castle finally scored his two goals in the last game of the year.

After resigning himself to a D-middie role, Tanner Worth cured his TC Syndrome by scoring a pair of goals in what would be an overtime victory.
