The act of, when one allows the reality of the economy sucking to begin them on a downward spiral of pithy neglect and manic introversion, jumping from a tall structure--but not the Statue of Liberty--to their inevitable death. Insulting term for a hick or redneck. Implies they breed within their family tree, or "jump the stump". Often used by other hicks/rednecks, to mark one as the lowest of the low.

Refers to a type/sub-brand of mountain bike.

The Stumpjumper was one of the earliest bona fide production mountain bikes —- a fact Specialized is trumpeting as the Stumpjumper turns 25 years old in 2006. The first two mass produced mountain bikes were sold in 1982: the Specialized Stumpjumper and Univega Alpina Pro. The word is actually "stumpjumper" instead of "stump jumper."
